I work independently or pull in the right people — depending on what your project actually calls for.

My design journey

I studied Industrial design and already during studies I did focus on healthcare field.

I've worked across both ends of the spectrum — in startups like Stimvia and large-scale medtech like BTL. But my most hands-on experiences came from building Body Moody myself — a heated smart textile bodysuit for period wellness, taken from idea to market.

I believe you can't design well for environments you don't understand. So I spent three months working as a home care assistant at Hewer. And I always try to get as close as possible to the environment I design for.

In production, I'm detail-oriented and collaborative. I work closely with engineers, suppliers, and specialists — and I'm not afraid of small-scale production or unconventional manufacturing when the solution calls for it.

I live in Bergen ☔ (yes, the rain is real), travel often to Czechia where I am from and have second base.

    Martina Kalová

    PROTOTYPING, MATERIALS, USABILITY

Martina — she’s a hero! She can create physical models and prototypes so precise that we’re hoping one day a project will be for dentists. She’s always exploring new materials and technologies, keeping us on track and inspired.

No wonder — she holds a PhD in Materials Science and leads the Bachelor’s degree program in Innovation and Design of Medical Devices at the Faculty of Materials Science and Technology (VSB–TUO), where she works within the CPIT — the Center of Advanced Innovative Technologies.

    Jan Bém

    ROBOTIC, MECHANICS

Jan is our multidisciplinary talent, mixing mechanics, electronics, and model-making—with the ability to be straightforward about what’s not feasible and what we should let go.

Oh, and he also holds a PhD in Robotics from VŠB, Ostrava.

    Honza Souček

    MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Honza brings huge experience from production. He doesn’t just make things work in CAD—he thinks ahead, spotting ways to save costs and avoid headaches in production. Practical, yet innovative.

When it comes to the classic “design or mechanical first?” we are partners from day one. Every project has its own priorities and requirements, and we figure out the flow together.

We first met in BTL medical development, working on the same devices. I immediately felt how great it is to have mechanical support early on and to look for solutions together.

    Jakub Trčka

    VISUALIZATIONS & ANIMATIONS

Jakub sees the perfect composition and creates the “wow” effect — ideal for those moments when you have just a few seconds to capture attention. He studied Architecture at ČVUT in Prague, but quickly realized he wanted to focus on the visual aspect.

He is part of the world-famous studio MIR. And I’m proud that he is helping us make healthcare products stand out.
